Sherwani suit, worn by the president of India for formal meetings as this dress has shown as Indian national costume after the independence India. And by the countless South Asian grooms on their wedding days. Sherwani is considered extremely as the traditional Indian and Pakistani men’s and celebrity wear.

It is unfortunately recognized as a vestment from pre-British Raj periods and supposed to be Mughal clothing especially wearing during the attending of the holy prayer in their mosque. Sherwani dress was instinctive throughout the British Rule and is an impact of British rule on leading Indian menswear at that period. Sherwani has also exposes the inspiration of politics on menswear clothing as well elegance of fashion.

Sherwani suit dress is a long-sleeved outer coat worn by men in South Asia. Like the Western frock coat it is fitted, with some waist suppression; it falls to below the knees and is buttoned down the front. The word achkan is derived from Angarkhaanga-rakshaka ‘body protector’. The angarkha was worn in various parts of the Indian subcontinent, while the basic cut remained the same, styles and lengths varied from region to region.

These are called the safas (turbans) as head gears and Mojaris (juti) as the shoes. The Mojaris are also made with the same fabric from which the sherwani is made along with the similar embroidery. When taken completely along with sherwani, it becomes the complete wedding dress of a bride groom.

Bottom wear is made with poplin, long cloth, artificial silk, pure silk. Even now single jersey knitted material with required colors that customer will be preferred to wear.

A sherwani signifies the rich traditional fashion style of India as it is a traditional outfit of Indian men. It indicates sophistication and style.

Sherwani is an Elite dress wear of Muslim Nobles and war lords .It’s origin dates back to medieval times where Persianized Turkic dynasties that ruled subcontinent . Nowadays it’s mostly used in weddings of subcontinent Pakistan India and as well as the Bangladesh.
