Finishing Process of Knit Fabric:
Among three principle category of fabric, knit is the most important. Knit fabrics are made by interlocking loops of yarn or thread together in a specific pattern. The most common types of knit fabrics include jersey, rib, interlock, cable, and jacquard. Knit fabric has widely used in different segments such as knit fabric goods, hosiery, outerwear and underwear. To obtain a clean fabric appearance and smoothy attractive looks and feels different types of finishing process are done for knitted fabric.

After dyeing, knit fabric is required to finish. During dyeing all knit fabrics are dyed in tubular form. Knit fabric finishing involves a series of treatments that are used to improve the appearance, feel, and performance of knitted fabrics. Specific finishing techniques are used for knit fabric depending on the fabric type, intended use, and customer requirements. According to buyers requirement knit fabrics are finished in open form or tubular form.

Generally, singeing, sanforizing, calendering, napping, waterproofing, and flame retardant treatment are done for knit fabric finishing.
