The wide range of natural and man-made fibers provides many combinations to create new effects with desirable properties. Strength, wearibility and crease recovery are the main properties responsible for synthetic fibers becoming established for blends with cotton, viscose and wool. The acrylics are also in much demand for such blends, while polyamide fibers and triacetates are of secondary importance.
Blended fabrics are created by combination of two or more different types of textile fibers that means a new fabric is created with unique properties. Blending of cellulosic fibers with man-made fibers to produce fabrics with improved characteristics has long been accepted throughout the world. Performance of blended fabric is excellent. Blended fabrics are widely used in the textile industry for their ability to balance comfort, performance, and cost. Though dyeing process of blended fabric is critical than other types of fabric. In previous articles I have published article on “Process Sequence of Textile Wet Processing Technology“.
Wet processing of blended fabric are divided by two sections; one is dyeing and other is printing. I have given two separate flow chart of dyeing and printing for blended fabric.
