Sewing Machine
A sewing machine is a device that stitches materials together with thread. They range from foot-operated or electric domestic machines to large, industrial machines. Sewing machines are mainly used to make clothing faster and easier than is possible by hand. Different types of attachments used in sewing machine, I will discussed here with details.
Motor:
Motor is the basic attachments of a sewing machine. There are six types of motor –
- Clutch motor
- Electro clutch motor
- Induction clutch
- Servo motor
- Dc motor
- Pulse motor /step motor (without dc motor all motor in our Buft lab )
1. Clutch motor for sewing machine motor:
Specifications:
- Output Power: 100(1/8) / 250(1/3) HP
- Voltage: 220 / 240V
- Frequency: 50 / 60Hz
- Speed: 2850 / 3450rpm.
- Amp: 2.1 /1.8
Advantage of Clutch Motor:
- Economy
- Locally Available
- Easy to Repair
Disadvantage of Clutch Motor:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Required routine maintenance
- Getting hot
- Life time less
- Power consumption is more
- Easy to burn
- Response is low
2. Electro clutch motor for sewing m/c:
Advantage of electro clutch motor:
- Economy
- Trimming, Needle Position, Foot Lift, Back Stitch, Wiper, Speed etc. can Control.
- Safety Switch.
Disadvantage of electro clutch motor:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Getting Hot
- Power Consumption Is More
- Response Is Slow (Less Than Servo Motor)
3. Induction motor:
Advantage of Induction Motor:
- Economy
- Locally Available
- Response Is Faster Than Clutch Motor
Disadvantage of Induction Motor:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Getting hot
- Power consumption is more
- Life time is less
- Use for only cycle sewing machine
4. Servo Motor:
Advantage of Servo Motor:
- Noise free
- Vibration free
- Less power consumption
- Trimming, needle position, foot lift, back stitch, wiper, speed can control
- Life time is more
- Safety switch
- Quick response
- Maintenance free
Disadvantage of Servo Motor:
- Costly
- Locally not available
5. Dc motor:
Advantage Of Direct Driven Motor:
- Quick Response
- Better Needle Penetration
- Belt less System
- Less Power Consumption
- Low Vibration
- Low Noise
- Long Life Time
Disadvantage of Servo motor:
- Costly
6. Belt Tension Adjustment and Machine Rpm Check:
