The Indian textile industry and ready-made garments industry are in rapid progress and is offering huge revenue to the country. It has increased the need for engineering graduates who have the skills in engineering, design, chemistry, management , computers, apparel, marketing/sales, and quality control.
Textile Engineering uses the principles of engineering with specific knowledge of textile equipment and processes. The course curriculum also draws knowledge from other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical and industrial and chemical engineering.
